Homework
Homework will come home nightly Monday through Thursday and is due back the next day. Each assignment is worth 2 points and points accumulate for one homework grade each trimester. If life is complicated or the homework is too challenging, please just sign your name on the homework and students will not be docked points. Fourth and fifth graders will also have one weekly "Pink Practice " (a Common Core review page) that will come home on Mondays and be due on Fridays. Those will be graded too.

Grading Notes
All work that goes home in Friday Folders can be returned for a better grade. Students must fix in pen and can return to Mrs. Bean for half the points back that they missed if they made their best attempt to fix ALL mistakes. All tests can also be fixed in the same manner but I have a "fix-it" page that students must use to resolve and analyze their mistakes. Late work will lose a point.
Grades:
All tests are worth 100 points and contribute to the bulk of points for trimester report card
Daily homework will accumulate for one grade worth about 50 points each trimester
Practice points will contribute and are usually worth 25 points or less each
Projects are usually each worth 20 points
Communication
Parents will receive an email at the begining of each new topic. The email will include a rough outline of lessons and an estimated testing date. Also attached will be the Home-School Connection letter from our curriculum. Please take a minute to read over these emails and let me know if there are any questions.
