Poudre School District Identification Process
We screen all students in 2nd grade for identification to be in place for their 3rd grade school year. We give the CogAT test in 2nd grade and collect data during students' school year. Take a look at the following PSD information about how we identify students as gifted:
GT Services offered at Werner Elementary
Werner offers a variety of gifted programming for identified students K-5. We have enrichment opportunities in language arts, math, and creativity. The following document has more detailed information:
Information on Poudre School District ALP process
Every child who is identified as gifted is required by the state of Colorado to have an ALP (Advanced Learning Plan) written each school year to share goals and services the child will receive. Here is some information to help understand what the ALP is:
