About Mrs. Bean...
My name is Tracey Bean, and I am the gifted education teacher and site coordinator at Werner Elementary. I received my bachelor's in English and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. My first teaching job was at Jackson Elementary in Greeley, Colorado. I taught first, second and third grade during my time there. After taking a few years off to raise my own kids and complete my masters degree in professional leadership (principal license,) I returned to work for Poudre schools at Rice Elementary teaching fourth grade. Now I have found a new home at Werner teaching gifted students in all grades. I enjoy helping kids find joy in learning and success on a daily basis. Becoming a principal is my long-term goal. For now, I am really enjoying being in the classroom working with kids directing their instruction.
I have been married for over 22 years to my wonderful husband Rob who works in the business world doing marketing and media work for clients. I have two children. Megan is a 12th grader, and Lucas is in 8th grade. Our family enjoys skiing, camping, canoeing, and traveling together. Some of our adventures have taken us to Mexico, Hawaii, Disney World, New York City, Washington DC, and all over the US. When I get a free moment to myself, I LOVE to read and play musical instruments (especially my guitar and ukulele.)
